Informal Solicitation for Realtor Services
PURPOSE:
The City of Silverton is soliciting proposals for realtor services to assist with the selling of property located at
702 N Water St. The property is vacant land and is on the corner of N Water Street and Brown Street.
DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES NEEDED:
The City of Silverton is requesting proposals from qualified and interested individuals and/or firms (Realtor) to
represent the City in a real estate negotiation. The Realtor will work with City Staff where necessary to sale the
property. The selected individual or firm will market the surplus City real property of 702 N Water St. This
would include:
• Listing the property for sale.
• Communicating with potential buyers.
• Assisting with setting the sales price and terms.
• Advising City Management and City Council during negotiations.
• Serving as seller’s representative.
• Assisting city staff with documents for the sale of the property.
DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
• Licensed Real Estate Agent in the State of Oregon.
• Five or more years of experience, preferably serving governmental clients.
• Responsive and flexible to attend evening City Council meetings as needed.
• Free of conflicts of interest regarding the City.
REQUESTED MATERIALS:
1. Statement of Interest, Experience and Qualifications.
2. Pricing proposal. Include an explanation of any costs not covered in a standard brokerage fee.
3. Three recent references (Municipal government entities preferred, but not required.)
PROPOSAL GUIDELINES AND REQUIREMENTS:
Each proposal should address the following in the order requested:
1. Briefly describe your firm including mailing address, primary point of contact, number of employees
and their names of who will be actively engaged in the project, years in business, and relevant
experience.
2. Describe any experience in working with governmental organizations.
3. Describe the services your firm will provide, and the associated costs.

TIMELINE:
Proposals are due no later than 5:00 pm, Friday, October 4, 2024.
SUBMISSION RULES:
Proposals must be received by 5:00 pm, October 4, 2024. Proposals that are emailed, mailed, or delivered in
person and received before Monday, October 4, 2024, at 5:00 pm will be accepted.

EVALUATION COMMITTEE:
The evaluation committee will review submittals and will contact businesses or individuals who submit a
proposal.
